Heaton had a 16-strong contingent make the journey over to Wearside on Thursday evening to run a damp but warm Sunderland 5k with many celebrating PBs.
The race was split into two races with both a men’s race and women’s race which included males over the age of 50.
Louis Head led the Heaton men home with a superb time of 15:49 closely followed by Eddie Knight in 16:00 – both big PB’s.
Laura Oldfield was the first Heaton lady home running 20:20. George Routledge came first in the M75 category overall.
