About The Session

This is a continuous run around Wallsend Dene for 25 minutes. Depending on numbers either form normal groups or separate into fast, medium and slow groups. The lap of the dene is undulating and about 650 meters in length.

The key to this session is spending at least 8 minutes of the 25 at vo2 max. This should be achieved by getting to vo2 max as quickly as possible and holding it for remainder of the lap.

Three hard laps will be enough but faster groups may get 4. After each hard lap regroup for a recovery lap. Group leaders make sure you regroup back together before starting next hard lap.

This is usually a quiet course but please watch out for members of the public, cyclists and dogs. We do no have right of way.
