Bleep Test 11th July

Cochrane Park Astroturf Pitches 6:45pm for 7:00pm start.

A new addition for the summer is the Heaton Harriers Bleep Test.

This is a multistage fitness test also known as the 20m Shuttle Run Test. The results will help you gauge your fitness and VO” max before embarking on training to your Autumn running goals. The idea is to run a distance of 20m between cones at timed intervals marked with a “bleep” until you can no longer match the pace of the timer and are timed out. As you progress through the levels the bleeps get closer together and the pace you are required to run gets faster. When you are timed out you will get the results of the level that you achieved.

The test takes 22 minutes and 03 seconds in total. It sounds horrendous and it probably is but it should be great fun and something different to gauge your level of fitness.

Please use the Spond App to confirm if you would like to participate. We need 20 participants confirmed for the committee to be able to secure the AstroTurf pitches at Cochrane Park so please come along and give it a go.

Thank you, Caroline
