About The Session
We have split this session into two groups due to the high numbers attending training sessions. Groups 1,2,3 will do one session and groups 4,5 and 6 will do the other. It will be alternated for future sessions and communicated who does each session through the Spond app.
Everyone, please meet at the usual meeting point next to the Nuffield Gym car park at Balliol for announcements before we split off into our groups.
1k Group
Done in groups on the old Balliol loop (adjacent to the meeting point – see above map) Run 1k efforts (almost 2 laps) at medium-hard effort with a 2 minute recovery (walk or slow jog) back to the start and repeat for 30 minutes.
The course will be marked out. The loop is usually quiet but please do watch out for the occasional pedestrian and car.
800m Group
A 800m stretch along Salters Lane will be marked – see above map. Do as many efforts as 30 minutes allows taking 50% of your effort time as recovery.
