28 Harriers competed at the annual Royal Signals Road Relays at Hetton Lyons Country Park which this year were incorporating the NECAA Road Relay Championships. An undulating 2.2 mile course greeted our members with near perfect racing conditions, if not a bit chilly at the top of the hill.
The women’s ‘A’ team finished a fantastic 6th overall whilst the women’s ‘B’ team finished a very respectable 17th.
The men’s ‘A’ team finished 15th whilst the men’s ‘B’ team finished 42nd overall.
This year we had enough interest to enter separate vet teams with the women’s vets finishing 16th and the men’s vets finishing 30th.
Well done to everyone who competed for their club and special thanks for those who filled in last minute to ensure we had complete teams. To have 4 complete teams is a great achievement.
