Heaton Harriers won the men’s Masters Cross Country at Birtley Cross Country Relay yesterday. A team comprising of David Young, Lee Daglish and John Sturman brought home the win with plenty of time to spare ahead of Elswick Harriers and Morpeth Harriers. Well done to all three especially David Young who was 3rd fastest across all age categories on the day. A great result for Heaton Harriers.
In other cross-country results at Birtley the Heaton women’s teams finished 19th and 29th with Nina Cameron fastest on the day in 22nd place overall. Heaton’s senior men’s team finished in 10th place with Ben Cook fastest overall in 26th place.
Well done to all Heaton Harriers that ran at the cross country.
