About The Session

Starting at the usual Balliol starting place this is a float session around the Balliol loop (8k total running)

Run 1k float at half marathon pace then 3k at 10k race pace and repeat again. This is around 4.5 loops of the Balliol loop in total.

Float workouts are purposely designed to help you push through discomfort while still maintaining a fast pace. They do this by eliminating an easy recovery jog. Instead, the recovery (“float”) portions are run at a quicker pace.

Groups 1-5 should aim to do the full 8k. Groups 6+ are advised to run 1k float 2k tempo twice (6k in total)
