We organise two annual races as part of the North East running calendar which are open to everyone:
Heaton Harriers Memorial Races
Held on Remembrance Sunday in November on Newcastle’s Town Moor. The main race is a 10k run which is serious PB territory. Junior races from 1k-5k will happen before the main race. The club have held this race since 1920 and is one of the oldest continuous races in the country. As such we have runners from across the North East and further afield attend.

Anita Nott 5k Women’s Only Race
Held on a Monday evening in June. This is a women’s only 5k race running through Jesmond Dene, Armstrong Park and Heaton Park. Named after long serving Heaton Harrier Anita Nott who tragically died whilst running in 2006. This is a unique race which attracts the best of Tynesides female running community.
The Anita Nott Race will be held on Monday 22nd June 2026
