About The Session

This is a hill session up and down Jesmond Vale Lane in between Heaton Park and Armstrong Park. See above map.

Form into your usual paced groups at the top of the hill and run easy down to bottom where Ouseburn Road starts to begin the session. Run hard to top of hill, re-group at top of the hill and run easy back down the hill on the recovery to the bottom. The distance from bottom to top is around 400m in length. Continue this for 30 minutes.

Please stick to the left hand side of the road to allow other groups to pass easily on their recovery and efforts and try to avoid blocking the entrance to the road when you re-group at the top.

Note: This road is usually quiet but there can be the occasional car from the car park and cyclist or pedestrian using the route so please be wary. The route can also be dark so a head torch is advisable. Watch out for the wooden barrier half way down the down the hill.
