This is our main race day held annually on Remembrance Sunday on Newcastles Town Moor.
The main event is a full accurately measured and course verified 10k – open to everyone.
We have a full junior race program with distances from 1k to 5k preceding the main race to cater from ages 8 and up.
All races are chip timed and raced on clearly marked out tarmac and gravel paths within the boundaries of Newcastles Town Moor.
We have held this race since 1920 and it is one of oldest annually run foot races in the North East. Running clubs from across the region and further afield are represented. It has a reputation for one of the flattest and fastest 10K in the area and definite PB territory if the winds behaves.
We will hold a traditional 2 minutes silence at 11:00 to mark Armistice Day and remember those who have lost their life serving our country. Please remember to wear your poppies and bring spare change to buy a baked treat post race at HQ. There will be a full presentation of prizes afterwards.
